Sweet Iron bits are made from blue steel and naturally develop a sweet-tasting surface rust when in contact with saliva. This stimulates the horse’s saliva production, encourages foaming, and helps the horse accept the bit more readily. If unused for a time, an orange-brown rust layer may form, which can be wiped off with a damp cloth.

Weymouth:
Used together with a bradoon in a double bridle, mainly for higher dressage levels. The Weymouth works with a curb chain to create leverage; the longer the shanks, the stronger the effect. The bradoon has smaller rings to leave space for the Weymouth and not interfere with leverage. A special double bridle or extra cheekpiece is required for this combination. Recommended for highly experienced riders.
