The Trust Hackamore Short Combi “French Link” combines the action of a bit with a hackamore, offering soft yet effective communication for horses with sensitive mouths.

Material & Sweet Iron Effect: The mouthpiece is made of durable steel with the signature blue color of Sweet Iron. When exposed to moisture, Sweet Iron naturally forms a thin surface rust that tastes slightly sweet, stimulating natural chewing and salivation. Over time, the blue color changes to grey or brown due to natural oxidation. When not in use, a light orange-brown film may appear on the mouthpiece—this can be easily wiped off with a damp cloth and is not a defect.

Design Advantage: This bit features a hackamore-style noseband, applying pressure to the nose as well as the mouth. This distributes pressure across multiple points on the horse’s head, making it particularly suitable for horses with a sensitive mouth.
