The Trust Loose Ring Snaffle is one of the most commonly used bits because many horses accept it well.

• Acts on the tongue and responds directly to rein aids.

• The bit rings are loosely attached to the mouthpiece, allowing free movement.

• Over time, the ring holes may stretch; when this happens, the bit should be replaced.

• Distributes pressure evenly on the bars and tongue.

• No nutcracker effect.

• Horses with sensitive tongues may try to evade the pressure.

• No uncomfortable pressure on the palate.

• Encourages mouth activity, as the evenly sized links of the mouthpiece stimulate the horse to play with the bit.

Material: Sweet Iron

• Develops a natural surface rust through contact with air and moisture.

• This rust has a sweet taste that naturally stimulates saliva production.

• The chemical reaction that creates the sweet taste encourages the horse to produce more foam and chew more.

• Over time, the color of the bit changes from grey to brown.

• If the bit is not used for a while, a thin orange/brown rust layer may form, which can be removed with a damp cloth.
